Glam Chic posted this amazing comparison between YSL's RTW Fall 2008 line and a "What Eve will look like in A.D. 2000" feature from a 1930s Pathetone Weekly. It's really interesting to see a 1930s perspective of fashion of the future as opposed to the 1980s/90s polyester, skin-tight jumpsuits of Star Trek: Next Generation. Interesting enough, YSL's line was reviewed as being futuristic.
Marc Jacobs cantilever heels anyone?!?!
P.S. I guess men's fashion is just an afterthought... a flimsy jumpsuit with pockets for all kinds of stuff including "candy for cuties" haha.
